By Margaret Cameron:
2012 is going to be a great year for the Legion. Already we are experiencing an increase in Hall Rentals due to all our building renovations. We are getting more Weddings and Social Events which is great. We are also planning some very special events this Spring and Summer.
On June 2 the Legion is 80 years old so a huge celebration will take place and we are hoping the Trillium Grant will attend so we can thank them for their generosity.
We are now renovating the bathrooms thanks to the Bobcaygeon Legacy CHEST Fund Grant. Everyone has been so supportive and generous so the Legion wants to give back and share our good fortune with the Community. If there is anything we can do please call or drop in to talk with us.
On June 22 we are having our biggest event ever which is a “Ladies Night Out” and details will follow but we will be selling tickets very soon. This will be a great event.
Our Loonie Auction is back May 12 and our next Turkey Lunch is March 9. We are going to the Georgian Downs Casino again with a visit to Coldwater Legion April 23. Please sign up for this trip.

Due to getting very busy at the Legion we are needing more volunteers. Please call 705-738-2710 if you would like to volunteer for a great organization. Thanks to all our present volunteers who work so hard, you know who you are and that you are valuable to the Legion.
To anyone who is not well at this time we wish you a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with our members who are ill.
We now have Paul’s Clubhouse Pizza’s and Subs at most of our weekly regular events. His Pizza’s are fabulous and I call ahead to order mine so it is ready when I get to the Legion. How great is that.
Please come out to the Legion to support our mission to serve Veterans and their dependents and to help our community. We would love to see new faces along with the friendly ones we already have now.
